Team The
following is a list of the people that you will meet with to discuss your Contract
or Service needs. These individuals will ensure that you receive the best possible
service:
Bill Langdon - President
- Bill assumed the role of President in 1993 and is responsible for the day to
day operations, parent concerns, employee negotiations and contracting. Bill
has been with the company for 16 years since finishing his courses at U of M. Before
joining King, Bill worked with Travelways School Transit Ltd. and Langdon
Coach Lines in Ontario.
Bill enjoys most sports and is an avid
hockey player and golfer.
B.
J. Langdon, CA - Vice President of Finance - B.J. joined the
business in 1993 after completing six years with an international Chartered
Accounting Firm where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant. B.J. is responsible
for the day to day finances of the operation including negotiations with the
companys bankers, lawyers and external accountants.
B.J. has been a Big Brother for 5 1/2
years and teaches for Junior Achievement at Junior High and High Schools in
Winnipeg. He serves as treasurer for his local MLA and is a member of The Manitoba
Health Board. B.J. is certified in Child and Infant CPR.
Bob Langdon - Vice President of
Maintenance - Bob has been with the company for 14 years. He is
responsible for the Garage operations including the fleets
preventative maintenance, PDIs for new equipment and
Corporate Purchasing.
Bob is a member of the Canadian Ski
Patrol. He is trained in CPR and other lifesaving techniques.
John
Panting - Operations Manager South - John joined King Transportation in
1997 after many years in the Transportation and Waste Industry to oversee the
operations of the Winnipeg School Division No. 1.
John is the Commissioner for Manitoba
Minor Football and a former Board member of the Manitoba Safety Council. He was also
a member of the transportation committee for the 1999 Pan Am Games. John is
currently Vice President of the Red River Community Club. John spent two years
working as a Driver Examiner for the Province of Manitoba. John has recently moved his skills from the
north shop to the south, where he is overseeing the operations at this time.
Steven Karalash - Assistant Parts
Manager / Customer Service - Steven joined King
Transportation in 1987. Steven started at King as a bus washer. Shortly afterwards,
he obtained his class II license and drove a school run for 2 years while working in a
maintenance capacity when he wasn't driving. Soon he became the PDI Manager, and
then managed the servicing and preventative maintenance of our fleet. In 1996, Steven took
over as Parts Manager where the department grew to what it is now. Recently, Steven
stepped down from the Parts Manager position to focus his attention on bringing customer
service to the highest level possible in the parts department.
Larry Hinatsu - Parts Manager
- Larry brings to King Transportation 35 years of parts and customer service
experience. Larry spent most of his carreer time at Wilson Auto Electric and we are
pleased that Larry has come and joined the King Transportation TEAM!
